The total volume of mobile traffic on social networks has doubled in 2021.
According to a study conducted by Megafon, users spent the most traffic on Instagram – 35.5%. VKontakte is in second place in terms of popularity (28%) and TikTok is in third place (24%). Last year, Odnoklassniki was firmly in third place.
In terms of daily activity, VKontakte is ahead of other networks. It is visited by 74% of users every day, Instagram by 60% and TikTok by 35%.
Traffic on TikTok over the year has more than doubled. Analysts believe this is due to a general increase in interest in short videos. This is confirmed by the 53% growth of Instagram traffic after the launch of short video service Reels.

TikTok tests new app
TikTok plans to launch an app that will spur the development of e-commerce on the platform: a new tool will maximize sales on the social network.
The new TikTok Seller app is being tested in Indonesia. The main purpose of the app is to make it easier to manage sales on the platform. Among the features available are seller registration, product management, order management, promotion, customer service, and data analysis.
If the pilot project proves successful, TikTok will get the product on the other markets.
Telegram announced a number of innovations
Telegram has updated its messenger. Channel owners will now be able to prohibit users from taking screenshots, forwarding messages, as well as saving photos and videos posted to them.
